The Legend of Pocahontas

“The Legend of Pocahontas” follows the classic story of Pocahontas, daughter to Chief Powhatan of the Algonquin People. Their calm life is upset when strangers from across the ocean visit their home and try to take over. Pocahontas is just a little girl when the first strangers arrive. The musical follows the story of the Algonquin People as they are invaded and taken over by European settlers. Pocahontas is a smart and intelligent woman, who befriends Capt. John Smith, later marries the Englishman John Rolfe and becomes an international ambassador for peace between the indigenous people and Europeans seeking to establish themselves in the New World.
