Journey Theater’s 15th Anniversary Celebration Contest Information & Rules

As we approach our 15th Anniversary Year of Celebration, we want to take a look back at how far we’ve come and we want YOU to help us!  We’d like you to submit testimonies in the form of emails, photos and short videos that we can use in celebration materials throughout the year.  With your submission, you get chances to win 2 free tickets to one of the Broadway Across America shows in the coming year (choose between Matilda, Finding Neverland, or An American In Paris).  Entries from all ages are invited and welcome!  We’d love testimonies and reflections from alumni and parents as well as current students. 

Here’s how to enter:

You have three different ways to submit your testimony.  You will earn…

  • ONE ENTRY when you send in 3 of your favorite photos from your years of participation.  Try to find a pic from your first show, your favorite show, and a fun class or camp pic.   
  • TWO ENTRIES when you send in a written testimony between 150-200 words.  Write about the following things:

What was your first show/class?

What is your favorite thing about Journey?

How are you different now than when you first started?  Or (for alumni), what has been the biggest life benefit for you?

What’s a piece of helpful advice you’d give to someone thinking about getting involved?

  • THREE ENTRIES when you send in a video testimony, not longer than 2 minutes in length (mp4, Vimeo, YouTube – via Google Drive or Dropbox).  Talk about the following things:

Give your name and which area you participate.  For alumni, state how long you were involved.

What was your first show/class?

What is your favorite thing about Journey?

How are you different now than when you first started?  Or (for alumni), what has been the biggest life benefit for you?

What’s a short story from your early experiences that you like to tell people about? Something funny perhaps?  A “Remember when…” memory is always fun!

Here are the rules:

An individual may submit one of each type of entry, giving a total of SIX ENTRIES. 

We are very proud of our 15-year history as a company, but as a matter of respect for the marketplace and to not cause confusion, any theater logos seen in pics must be Journey logos.  Pics in costumes, from rehearsal, from camp dress up days or from showcase are great.

While for our first 10 years we were branded as a different name, all that was accomplished in those years is identified as part of Journey Theater Arts Group.  All verbal references should refrain from company name, or refer to Journey.  Again, this is out of respect to the theater marketplace and to reduce confusion.

All entries should showcase Journey’s standard for excellence in behavior, dress, and language.

Entries must be received by 11:59pm on Monday, September 4, 2016.
